I have been attending the Cartersville School system since the age of five. I am currently inthe 6th grade (1999-2000). It is hard because you have to make sure you are not late to all your classes. You also have a lot of homework. Some times I have a lot of homework and want to give up, but the stamina I got from Koo Self Defense helped me finish my homework.
I have never been in a fight and hope I never do, but I know that if I do then I will be able to defend myself. I have made all A's so far in my school year and have been tested for gifted. I like Math, Reading, and Science. I also play in the Middle School band. I play percussion.
At the end of my 6th Grade, I was one of seven to be honored with the Cartersville Middle School "Academic Excellence" at the special banquest held on Friday, May 12th, 2000. My goal is to strive to maintain "A" in all subjects throughout all my school years right through to
College.
This school year 2000-2001, in the 7th Grade, I made the "Gifted Program". Now, I will have even more challenges in my school work!!
At the Cartersville Middle School's Science Fair, I achieved 1st. place in the Chemistry section and on February 23, 2001, I achieved 1st. place in the Northwest Georgia Science Fair held at Berry College, Rome, GA.
As a 7th Grader, I made the "Academic Excellence" for the second time, maintaining 'A' in all of my subjects throughtout the school year.
As an 8th Grader school year 2001-2002, still in the 'Gifted Program', I made the "Academic Excellence" for the third time. I was also the first student in the Cartersville Middle School to win both the Saxson Maths and the Science Award at the same time!
I was also a member of the Academic Team in the 8th Grade
